Ell Wendt (1896-1944) war eine aus Düren stammende deutsche Schriftstellerin. Als ausgebildete Pianistin begann sie ihre schriftstellerische Karriere über Umwege als Mitarbeiterin im Verlag ihres Mannes Albert Wendt. Vor allem ihr erster Roman „Sommergäste in Sophienlust" war sehr erfolgreich. Es folgten „Liebe ist in Gefahr" und „Die Badereise". 1943 erhielt sie den Wilhelm-Raabe-Preis für ihren Roman „Die stolze Nymphe". Sie starb in Bayern am Schliersee.
